Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of this position include system and subsystem requirements analysis, definition, and validation; systems and subsystems integration and requirements verification testing; effective technical collaboration among systems, hardware and software design functions; assist in resolving technical problems that cross functional domain areas of hardware and software; and developing systems related documentation.
Ideal Candidate
* This position requires U.S. citizenship. * A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM program including Computer Science OR other Bachelor of Arts in a STEM program (including Computer Science) that included 12 semester (or 18 quarter) credit hours in mathematics, including differential and integral calculus and applied mathematics and 10 semester (or 15 quarter) credit hours in natural science (biology, chemistry, earth sciences) including physics is required. * Basic knowledge of the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, and decomposition * Basic knowledge of communications engineering fundamentals (e.g: general radio transceiver architectures/designs, basic radio functional component blocks, performance specifications and test methodologies) * Occasional domestic travel may be required. * Preferred experience/skills: * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Ability to work well within a team structure. * Strong written and oral technical communications skills. * Ability to analyze, document test descriptions and conduct verification/validation testing for communication products and systems. * Understanding of manufacturing build, test, quality and customer acceptance review processes * Familiarity with engineering lab equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and waveform generators; experience with system integration, VHDL, Circuit Design; and experience in DOORS, Subversion, and LabVIEW is desired. * Familiarity with military radio communications concept of operations, and test methodologies for Software Defined Radios are advantageous experiences for the position.
