Senior Software Engineer - Real-Time/ Big Data Distributed Systems

• As a Technical Lead, you will build and scale our infrastructure to keep up with the demand growth; you will construct new distributed protocols and/or algorithms that are needed by new features.
• You will work with talented, cross-functional teams to design, implement and deliver a variety of projects to help drive our continued growth over various time lines - some long, some short, but all vital to the success of Rocket Fuel’s business.
• You will work with engineers, as well as product managers.
• ou are responsible for architecture, design, implementation, delivery of projects involving multiple teams and spanning multiple quarters.
• Examples of such projects include distributed real time stats pipeline, as well as distributed budget service, infrastructure or business projects, such as Sury-based optimization.

• B.S./ M.S./ PhD in computer science/ mathematics/ related fields
• Experience with Hadoop/hive/Pig, SQL
• Significant experience with C/C++, Java, Linx and SaaS
• Good understanding of algorithms, data structures, performance optimization techniques, and object-oriented programming
• Structured thinker, effective communicator, excellent programming and analytic skills
• Experience working on advertising systems – display or SEM
• Experience analyzing data
• Experience building large scale software (Middleware, Enterprise Software)
