Summary
The Director of Student & Academic Services (DSAS) reports to and works closely with the Assistant Vice President for Student and Academic Services (AVPSAS) to ensure that students are receiving appropriate academic support services through collaboration among faculty and staff in Academic Affairs and Student & Academic Services. The DSAS has direct responsibility for the Career Exploration Studies (CES) program and First Year Experiences (FYE).
Responsibilities
* CES and First Year Experiences (FYE) * Coordination of NTID’s Student Conduct response, including daily incident report monitoring, supervision of NTID’s Student Conduct liaisons, and close coordination with RIT Center for Student Conduct. * Point of Contact for Public Safety/Crisis Management * Point of Contact for Parents * Point of Contact for Vocational Rehabilitation
Ideal Candidate
**Experience** * Four years of administrative experience. **Skills** * Highly developed written communication skills and American Sign Language (ASL) skills. * Leadership skills that foster shared governance, collaboration, effective teamwork, and positive impact on student learning. * Organizational skills related to program/policy development and management. **Required Minimum Education Level:** * MS, MA
