Responsibilities
* Supporting product launches and operations with actionable metrics and insights to maximize value. * Educating and empowering the organization to use our diverse stores of data and to improve our product and operations. * Developing fast, scalable, and impactful data analytics products to lift the organization.
Ideal Candidate
**You Will Make an Impact by:** * Partnering closely with teams across the Roblox organization to identify business problems and translate them into structured analyses, actionable insights, and (in many cases) live features and functionality on the Roblox web site and in game. * Using exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets. * Being part of a team that explores marketing performance and user conversion funnel data to identify opportunities to improve growth, user engagement, user retention, and monetization. * Designing experiments related to on-site features, check out payment flow, landing page conversion, using traditional hypothesis testing framework as well as Bayesian techniques when applicable. * Collaborate with other analysts, providing statistical and modeling support on their analyses and projects. * Specify and evangelize best practices for data governance and data analytics throughout the organization. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. **Experience you’ll contribute to the team:** * You have a degree in statistics, applied math, engineering, computer science, applied analytics, or other related quantitative disciplines * You have 2+ years’ work experience analyzing large datasets in an analytics or product centric role * You are proficient with SQL, particularly for MS SQL Server and Redshift. * Experience with one of Pig, Hive, Spark, or other big data processing languages. * You are proficient with R, Python, or Scala for statistical data processing and analysis. * You have some experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Plotly, or Looker. * You are familiar with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages. * Your code, analyses, and documentation all reflect that of someone who is extremely detail-oriented.
