Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for collaborating with the internal infrastructure team and executive business partners on strategic initiatives aimed at improving the existing infrastructure and adding new network products to give the organization a competitive advantage. This is a great opportunity to work on a global network redesign from the very early stages within a privately held company with a highly collaborative team.
Responsibilities
* Act professionally and as a collaborative peer in the the global team. * Assure the internal service and service provided by suppliers to ensure its meeting business needs * Drive continual improvements in the service and value delivered to Edelman * Team contributor in the design, implementation and support of the global network infrastructure to meet growth, service reliability requirements, and problem management * Ensure services meet operational and service level requirements * Assess and evaluate change requests and confirm that proposed changes are implemented with minimum disruption of services being delivered * Architect and implement network and security infrastructure * Provide daily level 3 support for resolving server/storage related issues * Prepare and update network documentation including diagrams * On-Call for technical issues and troubleshooting 24x7 * Participate in special assignments and projects as requested.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Skills and Qualifications** * At least 3-5 years’ relevant IT Infrastructure experience with a multinational company, ideally with communications marketing. * 5 plus years experience working with Juniper and Cisco devices including routers, switches and firewalls. **Preferred Qualifications** * Preferred working knowledge of Riverbed Steelheads WAN * Preferred working knowledge of VOIP infrastructure including Cisco Call Manager and ShoreTel * Preferred working knowledge of Wi-Fi solutions * Requires working knowledge of WAN topology and routing protocols * Ability to manage simultaneous projects * Strong communication, presentation and written communication skills * Riverbed experience helpful * Juniper certification highly desired
Compensation and Working Conditions
Annual Pay $95,000 - $115,000
