RLI is hiring a Field Sales Representative to develop and maintain relationships in the state of Georgia. The sales representative is tasked with developing and managing Miscellaneous Surety sales opportunities across a defined region. Achieve sales goals by marketing to, and developing relationships with agents. Marketing may include both an existing agency plant, and the identification of new production sources. Representatives will develop a working knowledge of and promote other RLI Surety products as directed. This position includes extensive travel (including some overnight and out-of-state travel) and you will work from a home office.
- Marketing and production of Miscellaneous Surety business in a specified region.
- Achieve sales goals for an assigned territory.
- Educate producers on the merits of and use of the RLI bond issuance system.
- Promote other RLI Surety products, and provide respective points of contact where applicable.
- Audit agents with powers of attorney and pre-executed bond forms.
- Attend association meetings and industry functions.
- Assist in special projects and other duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to use analytical methods in appointing agents to ensure the growth of the company’s surety product line.
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to management on insurance sales matters.
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with agencies on the company’s surety lines of business.
Required Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing, insurance, or a related field and 2-5 years of experience in a similar field or position.
