Responsibilities
* Manage a group of 4-8 Sales Executives focused on selling the complete Riverbed solution into a specific region in the Americas; * Ability to translate complex technology solutions into business value propositions; * Leverage resources to satisfy customer requirements and own/manage all aspects of the go-to-market model for any new product releases in their territory or business segment, including the sales model, marketing plan, support and professional services offerings; * Meet specific quantifiable business development objectives such as channel recruitment and enablement, new logos and customer references; * Set sales strategy and direct the development and alignment of key account and territory plans; * Execute on developed strategies and ensure that cost and revenue targets are achieved; * Manage global accounts and , as necessary, lead contract negotiations for critical accounts; * Provide management direction and support, including hiring, leading, developing, retaining, and motivating capable, competent, and talented salespersons; * Ability to effectively communicate vision, plans, goals and objectives to team members; * Build a short- and long-term pipeline that ensures attainment of quarterly revenue goals, drives improved linearity within the quarter, and drives improved forecast accuracy; * Develop strong trusted advisor relationships within the leadership of key SI, SP and VAR partners; * Perform a minimum number of outbound calls daily; * Field inbound calls and leads from various sources and qualify for business potential; * Conduct a minimum number of online meetings via Adobe Connect per day, and maintain a minimum of 10 customer evaluations at all times.
Ideal Candidate
**Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or closely related subject area, plus seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in regional sales management with customers of varied account sizes. Must be based on the U.S. East Coast. * Employer will accept a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor’s degree. **Special Requirements:** * Managing global accounts; leading sales meetings and presentations; business writing; devising and implementing sales strategies to direct reports. * Domestic/international travel required up 35% of the time.
