Principal Android Engineer

Our intelligent software platform runs new mobility services, such as carsharing, ridesharing, and other innovative transportation offerings. End-to-end integration and automation accelerate time to market, enabling RideCell customers to launch mobility services quickly, operate efficiently, and scale revenues as business grows.

The Principal Android Engineer at RideCell plays a key role in leading the development of our Android applications. The person is focused on innovation, constantly improving both the technical foundation and the user interface. We are looking for a talented and motivated Principal Android Engineer to join our team at RideCell who can hit the ground running and take our product to the next level, as we scale up and develop our business in our target markets.

• Lead, mentor and Hire Engineers
• Build a world class product from the ground up
• Build high performing, beautiful scalable apps that everyone loves
• Lead migration to newer Android platforms (Samsung watch, etc.)
• Define and implement latest Android industry coding standards and best practices for the team

• Eat, breath, and sleep Android
• Stay on top of the latest Android industry standards and best practices
• Experience mentoring, leading, and building engineering teams
• Java OOP expert
• Proficiency with Google API's (maps, places, etc.)
• knowledge of RESTful implementation in android and communicating with backend API's
• Proficiency with android lifecycle events in activities and fragments
• Must be willing to work on-site in our San Francisco office
• B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related experience
