Software Development Engineer

Software Development Engineer position within Ricoh Production Print Solution's (RPPS); Printer Control Unit Development organization. The Control Unit Development Team delivers high quality solutions comprised of Linux-based software running on multiple hardware platforms, in the control of Continuous Forms and Cutsheet Printers. Our software engineers are generally involved in every phase of the development process, including architecture, planning, design, implementation, unit test, documentation, and providing ongoing support for product test and field support groups. The successful candidate must be a confident Software Developer who is comfortable working within a Linux environment and should be able to perform software development using industry standard methods. Attributes should include good analytical and problem solving skills. Interpersonal skills including teaming, self management, multitasking as well as possess a positive, cooperative, and dedicated attitude.

* 5 or more years work experience with 3 or more years programming experience in Web Development including Java, JavaScript and HTML5 * Experience with full product development lifecycle and multiple releases of large enterprise-class software products * User interface knowledge * Software development in Linux OS environment * Strong debugging and analytical skills * Excellent technical writing, organization, communication and interpersonal skills * Teaming, self-management and multitasking skills

**Preferred Skills:** * C/C++ proficiency * Working with a large software team in matrix environment * Printing concepts and technologies * Working with a global development team * Technical leadership **Education / Certifications:** * B.S., M.S., or PhD. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
