Cost Accounting Manager

We are currently searching for a Cost Accounting Manager to lead consulting projects for our Fortune 500 and pre-IPO clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Cost Accounting Manager will partner with our top tier clients to lead period closing, audit activities, and process improvements as well as work closely with Operations to support manufacturing activities.

* Specific responsibilities will vary from client to client and may include: * Improve cost accounting policies and processes for existing and future products * Develop and maintain standard costing methodology for all inventory * Review all standard cost variance, including purchase price variance * Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules * Partner closely with product teams and distribution vendors to support supply chain operations * Work on automation of cost accounting journal entries * Provide supporting documents for audits * Provide management reports and analyses

* Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus * 7+ years of accounting experience with prior cost accounting experience required * Strong knowledge of GAAP * Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite preferred * Strong understanding of financial and operational controls * Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills * Strong orientation to client service, time management, and project delivery
