Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Big Data Scientist with strong Hadoop experience. Candidate manages the implementation of new data consumption capabilities for large data sets to meet business needs in conjunction with Business Owner, Governance, Operations, and IT teams. (Data Modeling, Data ETLs and Data Analysis).

• Build analytics, dash boarding, and reporting applications on big data platform. Have experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets (Structured and Unstructured data) using Big Data tools (XML, JSON, PDF, Word processing). • Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team comprised of IT and Business • Develop and monitor project plans and performance • Train and mentor staff on Big Data tools and technologies • Present ideas and recommendations to management

• 2+ years of Big Data / Hadoop Ecosystem experience (MapReduce, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Oozie) (Processing structured and unstructured data, writing code for parallel processing on Hadoop) • 5+ years of programming experience in at least 2 – SAS, Java, SQL or similar languages • 2+ years of experience – XML / JSON/Pdf file processing – using programming languages or ETL tools like Informatica on Hadoop and/or relational databases • At least 8 years of data analysis/ data warehouse, hands on development experience loading and manipulating big data sets • 2+ years – Data visualization, data mining, predictive analytics exp. (Responsibilities should include some hands-on experience in the last 12 months) • Working knowledge of the business use case for Hadoop and expertise in business terms and processes • Project Management and People Management experience • Degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
