Responsibilities
**Position Summary** The Real Estate Paralegal, reporting to the Senior Manager, Site Acquisition, is responsible for coordinating the work flow and management of transactional documents, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and providing contract support to the Real Estate and Development Teams, while working closely with the Legal Department. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in the drafting, preparation and disbursement of numerous real estate documents, agreements, and correspondence in close collaboration with the Real Estate and Legal Teams. * Organize and manage North American Development document management system in coordination with the Legal Department and Development Teams. * Review, coordinate and manage real estate transactional documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. * Correspondence with ISO’s, regulators, utilities, consultants, landowners, title companies, permitting agencies, legal counsel, etc. * Review title reports and assist the team in resolving outstanding title matters. * Manage master services agreement process including work scope and work authorization with outside consultants in coordination with Legal Department and Development Team. * Tracking of real estate contractual obligations through utilization of the company’s compliance tracking tool. * Authorization management and signature coordination for execution of various real estate agreements and consultant contracts. * Help prioritize, coordinate and complete various real estate and development projects and activities. * Maintenance and improvement of all organizational systems and files. * General paralegal tasks as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** * Proven track record working with a variety of real estate documents preferably in a real estate development environment. * Experience with robust document management systems. * Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat * Experience resolving a multitude of real estate issues; transaction closing experience preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills; ability to add value through creative input and critical thinking * Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines * Ability to uphold standards of complete discretion and confidentiality and exercise sound judgment * Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product * Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm * Ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels **Experience & Education** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience * Paralegal Certificate preferred * Minimum of 3 years of real estate transaction or related experience
