RealtyShares has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, persistent and intelligent Investment Associate. You will join a highly entrepreneurial and passionate team and will be given the opportunity to grow individually and professionally. The Investment Associate will have direct participation in helping source and underwrite real estate acquisition opportunities that are eventually listed for funding on the RealtyShares online investment platform. The position will allow for rapid expansion of industry knowledge and contacts, financial structuring ability, business development skills and overall business acumen.

The primary responsibility of the Investment Associate is to analyze new equity and debt real estate investment opportunities across the U.S. in all product types, perform financial underwriting and due diligence, cull market data, and assist in the marketing, funding and closing of those opportunities on the platform. From RealtyShares' extensive database of real estate sponsors and borrowers, you will have the opportunity to assist in sourcing new relationships and transactions, with the end goal of facilitating transaction production on the RealtyShares platform.

• 1-2 years Pre-MBA work experience
• Strong finance and underwriting experience (preferably in real estate)
• Solid research, due diligence and analytical skills, and a very strong command of written and spoken language
• Significant experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders; strong client communication is a must
• Self-starter with ability to think creatively, work effectively with small teams and learn on-the-fly
• Investment outreach experience with the ability to efficiently track results
• Comfort with a less-structured, start-up environment where challenges are ever-evolving
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
