Realm Inc. is the company behind Realm. Publicly launched in summer 2014, Realm is already used by tens of thousands of developers and deployed on over 500 million devices. We are 35 employees working around the world, whether in our HQ in San Francisco, our office in downtown Copenhagen (Denmark), or remotely elsewhere, from Berlin to Perth. We have received funding from YCombinator, Khosla Ventures, Andreesen Horowitz, Greylock, DST Ventures, Crunchfund, SVAngel, Ignition, Redpoint, Scale Venture Partners, & others. We’re already generating revenue selling enterprise products & services around Realm.
Responsibilities
Looking for candidates based in San Francisco. We are looking for developers who can help us ship Realm for Android and make it the new default for persistence on Android! You must have a background in Android app development and ideally in developing Java libraries for others to use in their apps.
Ideal Candidate
* Expert in Java & Android * Track record of public speaking, blogging, or teaching * Experience building frameworks (as opposed to apps) in any language * Solid experience with mobile app development and handling of data (SQLite, ORMLite, etc.) * Good understanding of multi-threading in apps and operating system features * Experience with C++, NDK development, JNI, Dalvik, or ART a plus * You keep up to date with development, tools, and news in the community If working as part of a growing team of amazing mobile developers seems like your kind of gig, hit us up for more details.
