Senior Forecasting and Planning Manager

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of sales analysis and forecasting as well as developing inventory purchase recommendations. Must have the ability to create and maintain accurate demand plans and forecasts. Key function is to analyze retail and wholesale sales results to make informed purchasing decisions. The successful candidate will need to work closely with the sales team to understand customer demand. The individual should possess excellent management, statistical, analytical and communication skills.

* Ensuring timely and accurate forecast of inventory demand by analyzing retail sales trends, customer projected future purchases and internal wholesale activity * Develop product purchases after giving consideration to complexities including minimum order quantities and logistical cubing surrounding product packaging requirements and ocean container requirements * Analyze sales trends to support purchase recommendations * Prepare and present sales analysis and buy recommendations during internal and external meetings * Alerting sales team to forecast changes to minimize stock overages

* Experience with planning and analysis, preferably in a retail environment * Strong data calculation and analysis skills * Strong interpersonal skills * Logistics literacy -- experience in a wholesale distribution environment * Database Management literacy and skills - familiarity with and application of database programs such as MS Access or similar * Ability to work independently * High level proficiency in excel * Buying \ purchasing experience preferred Management experience a plus
