Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, Rally Connect

The Rally Connect team is building a next-generation provider search tool which will help our mission of making healthcare easy and affordable for all of us by providing an intuitive experience that connects individuals and families to the best care at the best price for their needs. We’re building an ecosystem of distributed services using Scala / Akka / Play web applications communicating over HTTP and a distributed message bus and deployed on AWS with Chef, Mesos, and Docker. **About you:** * **Have a passion to reinvent health care**; to make it better for the consumer and optimized for our partners * **Eager to gain valuable experience** and grow quickly, along with the rest of us, as we roll our product out to our millions of eligible users * **Want to make a difference.** The products we build as we grow have the opportunity to revolutionize the way people interact with healthcare **What you’ll have the opportunity to do:** * Work with a great team of engineers located across the nation * Architect and design ways to allow management and configuration across multiple product lines * Become a Scala web framework expert using Play * Build our internal and external REST API in Scala * Contribute to intuitive interfaces using AngularJS * Gain insight into how each Rally product in the ecosystem works

**Your skills:** * 3+ years of real industry experience with Java, Scala, C#, or a similar language * Expert-level design experience, including knowledge of common design patterns and relevant libraries * A strong desire to grow a team and learn to solve complex problems at scale * Familiarity with Scala, or a strong interest to learn * Familiarity with both NoSQL and RDBMS databases, especially their strengths and weaknesses * Experience working with RESTful APIs **It’s even better if you have:** * A passion for exploring new technologies and keeping on the cutting edge * Played a major or lead role in an agile team * Hands-on experience using Scala * Experience building rich, interactive client-side applications and understand the limitations reached at scale (Knowledge of AngularJS a plus!) * Used various testing frameworks in the past * Worked on an Enterprise facing product in the past and understand the best practices
