Data DevOps Engineer

In this role you will be enabling analytics, data science, and business intelligence by deploying and maintaining infrastructure and data services around health risks, clinical and lifestyle recommendations, and population health management and reporting. Our technologies: AWS, Scala, Play, Hadoop (CDH), Kafka, Spark and Spark Streaming, MongoDB, Vagrant, Jenkins, Chef **Responsibilities:** * Maintain, enhance, and optimize the data pipeline in a highly available, scalable, and robust manner * Provision, configure and deploy new infrastructure and services * Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes * Contribute to making our infrastructure simple, reliable, and easy to operate * Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting

**Requirements:** * Experience in operations and Linux systems engineering in a cloud environment * Mastery of a configuration management tool, such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt * Programming experience in Python or a similar language * Experience with CI, Jenkins and Continuous Deployment * Experience with WebApps and Nginx * Experience with monitoring (Sensu, Nagios) and metrics (Graphite, Librato, statsd) * Knowledge of security best practices * Ability to track down root causes and fix them in systematic ways * Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail * Self-starter and results-oriented **And for bonus points:** * Experience setting up and maintaining a Hadoop cluster * Experience with data pipeline technologies, especially Kafka * Experience with containers (Docker, LXC)
