Responsibilities
- Develop and produce web graphics and print documents - Perform frequent maintenance and updates to existing website; generate and revise webpages within the established look/feel of the site - Use web technologies to develop new pages within the website - Troubleshoot and test website and identify technical problems with website - Work with a range of media; integrate multimedia content into site - Identify and evaluate improvement options; introduce new technology - Control naming conventions and linking conventions of web page images and multimedia files
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications and Skills Required** - Minimum 2 years of web design and graphic experience - Proficiency in Mac OS X - Advanced competency in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Lightroom - Experience in vector image creation - Understanding of the nuanced differences between web graphics and print documents, best practices of each - Work directly with printing services to develop best product - Demonstrated creative, technical, and analytical skills - Excellent WordPress skills - Adaptable, able to pick up new techniques - Detail orientated; able to multi-task - Aware of international web standards and protocols - Familiarity and ability to institute responsive site design - Expert in implementing and improving SEO; ability to identify and implement innovative SEO strategies - Optimize on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in major search engines - Solid understanding of user experience design - Web user interface design, multimedia content development, understanding browser capabilities, internet presence - Experience in developing websites and/or web applications - Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment - Excellent writing skills - Google Analytics skills - Provide quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes. **Preferred Skills and Qualifications:** - A personal passion for conservation and wildlife - Portfolio of past web/print design encouraged - Skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and video-making - Skills with advanced scripting languages and APIs - Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Communication, Design, Digital Media, Marketing or similar
