Summary

Rain Bird seeks a results-driven Product Manager who will be responsible for managing one of Rain Bird’s product lines, as well as supporting and expanding the existing sales channel. The position located is open for immediate placement.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager will lead the efforts growing sales and profitability of their products including the following:

* With an in depth understanding of the marketplace, lead the development of innovative products and programs that are superior to the competition.
* Work as a key member of the business unit management team involved in the strategic planning process with primary focus on strategic marketing and product planning.
* Management of product managers and marketing staff within the group. Recruit and train team members. Improve market smartness and effectiveness of the marketing staff
* Leadership, goal setting and review, incentive plan development and follow-up, performance review. Develop backups for key positions
* Manage the coordination of sales training and promotional activity as it relates to the enhancing the market position.
* Responsibility for all related sales and marketing, budgets.
* Working with engineering, manufacturing and the sales function in continually improving product quality and enhancing the Rain Bird brand image.
* Responsibility for all marketing communications, activities including literature development and customer loyalty programs.
* Function as a key member of the Corporate Marketing Committee to represent Rain Bird’s product offering and the promotion of the Intelligent Use of Water.

Ideal Candidate

An undergraduate degree and MBA
7+ years experience in marketing management and sales related activities
A person with proven, excellent communication and people management skills
A high-energy individual with eagerness to learn and excel
Demonstrated product development and launch experience
General management skills with the proven ability to lead a business unit Desired Qualifications
International business experience
Knowledge of the irrigation industry and marketing
Previous P&L experience
Multi-lingual
