Data Software Engineer

The Data Engineering team at Radius is looking for a Data Software Engineer who is interested in incorporating a multitude of data sources to produce an accurate model of small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S.

* Work in a team of awesome data engineers and scientists to develop and evolve Radius next generation data processing platform and applications based on Spark and Scala. * Work in the team producing Radius U.S. business graph created from dozens of sources using data engineering and machine learning at Scala using Spark, Scala, MLLib and GraphX.

* 2+ years experience with Scala. * Solid software engineering skills and experience including coding, testing, troubleshooting and deployment. * 1+ year experience with Spark. * Experience with Scala in addition to an object oriented language (such as Java). * Large scale data processing experience using Spark or Hadoop/MapReduce for ETL/Data transformations on rich datasets. * Comfortable working in a remote Linux environment and Cloud (EC2). * Experience with Spark GraphX and Spark MLlib. * Machine Learning experience. * Experience with git or a similarly distributed revision control system.
