Data Software Engineer

The Data Engineering team at Radius is looking for a Data Software Engineer who is interested in incorporating a multitude of data sources to produce an accurate model of 25M+ small and mid-sized businesses in the U.S.

Work in a team of awesome data engineers and scientists to develop and evolve Radius next generation data processing platform and applications based on Spark and Scala. Work with other Radius engineering teams and product management to meet new business requirements and develop data processing workflows.

• Solid software engineering skills and experience including coding, testing, troubleshooting and deployment.
• Experience with Scala in addition to an object oriented language (such as Java)
• Large scale data processing experience using Spark or Hadoop/MapReduce for ETL/Data transformations on rich datasets
• Comfortable working in a remote Linux environment and Cloud (EC2)
• Experience with git or a similarly distributed revision control system

Preferred qualifications

• 2+ years experience with Scala
• 1+ year experience with Spark
• Experience with Spark GraphX and Spark MLlib
• Machine Learning experience
