Product/ UX Designer

Quovo is a FinTech Big Data startup that helps investment advisors, financial institutions, and everyday investors manage their money more effectively. Our platform aggregates and delivers robust data for millions of accounts from thousands of financial institutions, and our analytics engine regularly generates groundbreaking insights to help financial advisors and their clients.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as UX and design lead on analytics dashboard elements on our feature roadmap, from discovery to concepting to visual design.
• Serve as design lead to collaborate with/manage outside design agencies for special projects as appropriate.
• Work closely with senior developers and strategists to translate use cases, customer personas, and business priorities into specific UX/UI and design solutions.
• Assist with front-end development, specifically around CSS and design implementation.
• Translate and push forward concepts from ideas to wireframes, visualizations, and mock-ups/front-end coding — at the global, page, and specific feature level.
• Inject customer delight into information architecture through visual and graphic design.
• Create and update style guides to support our brand.
• Lead ongoing customer and usability research to iterate and improve the product over time.

Skills and experience:

• Top-notch Photoshop, Illustrator skills.
• Strong background in wireframing and product design, including at the very specific feature-level.
• Candidate with strong mix of product/UI and visual or graphic design background preferred.
• A strong conceptual thinker who is a fast learner and detail-oriented.
• A self-starter with a strong sense of collaboration.
• The ability to translate sophisticated use cases into elegant solutions.

Nice to haves:

• Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Experience with data-driven applications or data visualization a major plus.
• Experience with or interest in the financial industry.
