Quartzy is expanding our product to help scientists manage their resources from top to bottom. We are seeking a talented product designer to join us in shaping brand-new features for our web application. As part of a small and expanding design team, you'll have a chance to define and play a major part in growing our product organization as our rapidly growing company scales.
- Work directly with our CEO and lead designer to shape ideas and create interactive prototypes on InVision
- Collaborate with our user researcher to test competing ideas and to quickly iterate to the best option
- Design beautiful, intuitive interfaces that make our multi-dimensional product effortless to use
- Illustrate iconography and design animations that make complex points easy to understand
- Package assets and communicate with our team of 8 engineers to implement features
- At least five years of product design or front-end engineering experience
- The ability to write HTML and CSS is strongly preferred for this position, although exceptions may be made
- You must be able to work on-site at our office in sunny Palo Alto, California. We offer compensation for relocation if you do not currently live in the area.
- A startup attitude: Our roles are not neatly defined.

Nice to Have
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript. Experience with Ember.js or AngularJS would be mindblowing.
- Experience conducting remote or in-person user studies
- An interest in life sciences would be an added bonus
