QSAC pursues this mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills. - Maintain equipment and facilities in Queens Day Habilitation Centers
- Complete projects such as plumbing, carpentry, moving furniture, deliveries, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout facilities and vehicles used to perform duties
- Store tools and equipment in designated areas to protect from damage and theft
- Run errands and purchase supplies needed to complete assigned projects
- Must be flexible to work overtime, evenings weekends and/or holidays when necessary.
- Adhere to building/maintenance codes to ensure health, safety & welfare of facilities, individuals and employees.
- Attendance and punctuality is essential
- Maintain student/individual/ family confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
- Valid driver license and good driving record
- High school diploma/GED or substantial work related experience
- MUST HAVE 2-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN CARPENTRY, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING
- Must be able to lift 50 lb items
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies
