Maintenance Worker

QSAC pursues this mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills. QSAC is EOE

• Maintain equipment and facilities in Queens Day Habilitation Centers
• Complete projects such as plumbing, carpentry, moving furniture, deliveries, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout facilities and vehicles used to perform duties
• Store tools and equipment in designated areas to protect from damage and theft
• Run errands and purchase supplies needed to complete assigned projects
• Must be flexible to work overtime, evenings weekends and/or holidays when necessary.
• Adhere to building/maintenance codes to ensure health, safety & welfare of facilities, individuals and employees.
• Attendance and punctuality is essential
• Maintain student/individual/ family confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

• Valid driver license and good driving record
• High school diploma/GED or substantial work related experience
• MUST HAVE 2-3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN CARPENTRY, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING
• Must be able to lift 50 lb items
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others
