We have an immediate needs for a Principal Firmware Engineer in our Mountain View CA, Design Center. This group develops the firmware for all of QLogic's Converged Networking Adapters (CNA). The work environment in fast paced and involves interfacing with a lot of different development and test groups. The work involves architecture, design and development of various networking and storage (FCoE and iSCSI) features.

• Design & development of core firmware.
• Work on various hardware specific features of current and future QLogic ASICs.
• Work on bringup & verification of future ASICs and boards.
• Provide interfaces to the protocol stack as needed. Assist in upper level firmware as needed.

• B.S / M.S. with 10+ years relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge of networking (Ethernet, TCP, UDP) Strong expertise in C, programming and debugging.
• Demonstrated ability in modern Software Development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work in embedded systems or real-time environments.
