* QinetiQ North America is currently recruiting a Software Engineering Co-op. * This individual will assist in the development and deployment of maritime software and controller technologies. * The Software Engineering Co-op will have an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team (software, electrical, and mechanical engineering) to develop an overall feel for system development. * The Software Engineer Co-op should have an interest in fundamental research and development in the areas of perception, planning, navigation, and control for unmanned autonomous vehicles.

* The ideal candidate will have development skills and project experience in C/C++ as well as some hands-on experience interfacing with electronic controls including sensors. * Experience in MatLab and either .NET C# or Linux using C/C++ is required. * The student is expected to be enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an Electrical Engineering program with software emphasis. * Completion of at least one prior co-op or relevant work experience is preferred.
