- Self-starter able to work independently
- Responsible for supporting incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Verify product conformance to program specifications, drawings and acceptance tests
- Working knowledge of MRB activities and understanding of root cause and corrective action process
- Able to coordinate problem resolution with the engineering and program teams
- Ensures capturing all inspection data and supplier data packages in VISUAL Quality Module
- Knowledge of Test and inspection methodology and experience using CMM equipment
- Able to interface with Customer QA representatives
- Supervision and oversight over QC and inspection
- Support of QMS, AS9100C and CMMI processes
- Ability to write and edit procedures & work instructions
- Supports assigned programs with Detailed Quality Plans
- Prepare DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans for applicable customer programs
- Assure Calibrated equipment is calibrated in a timely manner
- Participates in and may lead Customer and Supplier audits
- Assists in writing procedures & work instructions
- IPC-A-610/620 knowledge/certification
- Review and approve Engineering Change Requests
- Conduct Internal Audits and file reports
- Support Weekly Production Meetings
Required Experience:
- Experience working on DOD electromechanical products
- Must be proficient in Windows, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Possess good technical communications and team building skills
- Must be able to interface with engineering, manufacturing, program office and configuration management
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to problem solve and critically think
- Good trigonometry/geometry math skills
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing IAW ANSI/ASME Y14.5
Desired experience:
- Certified AS9100C Internal Auditor
- Certified IPC-A-610/620 Inspector
- Recent experience working in an AS9100C environment
- Recent experience working in an CMMI level 3 environment
- Recent experience with AWS welding requirements

Recent experience operating a CMM

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience, and five to seven years of quality engineering experience is required
