Bus Driver

• Drive a regular route
• Completes pre-trip inspections of the bus utilizing Zomar technology, including child checks
• Assists students in the loading and unloading process
• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students
• Attends all safety and training meetings
• Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door
• Opens and closes service doors and moves up and down steps multiple times daily
• Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows. Cleans outside windows of the bus
• Other specialized functions as required

• A valid Colorado Driver's License
• High School Diploma or GED
• Be a minimum 21 years of age
• Possess or ability to obtain a American Red Cross First Aid and CPR card
• Ability to pass the district's designated post offer screen lift test
• Ability to complete pre-service training for appropriate vehicle
• Ability to complete driving performance test
• Ability to successfully complete dexterity test and DOT physical

Preferred:

• Ability to maintain discipline on a school bus
• Ability to use discretion at all times as to speed, road, traffic, and weather conditions
• Ability to work early morning hours
• Must read and understand street signs, route sheets and maps
• Appropriate prior work record that demonstrates acceptable work, the ability to follow directions, provide a high-level of customer care and service, and work effectively without direct supervision

Motor Vehicle Record:

• A minimum of three (3) years of driving experience
• No more than two (2) moving violations within the past thirty-six (36) months
• No more than two (2) accidents (verified by corresponding violation or points associated with accident) within the past thirty-six (36) months
• The ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) as required by the position
