Senior Project Manager Big Data

Publishers Clearing House (PCH), with offices in Long Island, New York City, Boston and Portland, ME, is a leading interactive media company offering a broad range of commerce products, digital entertainment and services to consumers and advertisers.

PCH is looking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for facilitating and guiding the assigned project teams in their activities and helping to keep the project(s) on track using Scrum methodology/framework or Waterfall whichever applicable. The Senior Project Manager ensures that their assigned project(s) stay on track, builds consensus amongst all stakeholders and delivers exceptional results. Experience in Big Data Project Implementation required.

* Act as a hands-on Senior Project Manager for at least 1-2 teams. This includes organizing and facilitating release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions and any other Scrum related meetings, as well as updating and maintaining in the defined tool. * Plan, manage and communicate releases, goals, schedules, dependencies, procedures and tasks * Mitigate issues and elevate to management as necessary * Maintain and provide relevant metrics to show how the team is doing * Coach and mentor the team as needed to reach their highest potential

* Bachelors Degree required * 5+ years of solid experience in Technical Project Management specifically Big Data Implementation(s) using latest tools and technologies * Agile SCRUM and conventional project management experience required * Skilled with the following tools: Version One, MS Office * Understanding of Big Data technology and experience in design of comprehensive technical architecture * Strong organizational skills * Exceptional written and oral presentation skills * Strong time management, goals setting and task prioritization abilities * Must be able to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals * Ability to garner trust from their team, other groups and business units * Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency * Design an architecture using cloud and/or virtualization technology * Plan and execute a technology proof-of-concept (POC) using Big Data technology * Detailed knowledge of RDBMS data modeling and SQL * Analysis and documentation of source system data sources from traditional (RDBMS) and new data sources (web, machine-to-machine, geospatial, etc.)
