Salesforce Platform Senior Manager

PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) is a global provider of technology platforms and solutions that transform how companies create, operate, and service the “things” in the Internet of Things (IoT).

PTC is seeking an experienced technical leader and solution manager to lead the IT – Salesforce.com platform. The position requires hands-on experience in Salesforce.com, stakeholder management, delivery management and team management. In collaboration with functional leaders, this individual will be responsible for identification of the organization's Salesforce platform needs, solution design and deployment. Reporting to the VP Business Systems this individual will be a key member of a lean and high impact IT organization with top quality people focused on customer satisfaction, superior execution and delivery.

* Collaborates with functional owners and other IT platform leads to develop roadmaps on the Salesforce platform. Roadmap needs to be built on detailed understanding of the business functions, processes, and overall business strategies. * Proactively identify and communicate potential issues or risks with system landscape and act as an escalation point for the technical team in addressing critical production support issues. * Govern the Salesforce.com platform and solutions for various business group * Evangelize Salesforce.com best practices and solution adoption across IT teams and business teams * Provide technical coaching to our development team. * Manage and coordinate implementation partners and vendor support, in conjunction with our global team where necessary, for project deployments and critical operational issues. * Stay current with emerging CRM and Salesforce.com, App technologies and solutions and find ways to recommend innovations to the team and our business sponsors.

* Experience working with IT leadership (CIO, VP Business Systems) and other functional leadership (VP/SVP) to help shape and guide the IT strategy * 4-5 years of extensive experience in architecting and delivering Salesforce.com solutions. Completed at least 1 full lifecycle of SalesForce.com implementations at the enterprise level that includes Data integrations and third party apps * Demonstrated deep technical knowledge in Salesforce.com, Sales Cloud, PRM, Communities, Salesforce Integrations, Salesforce.com data model, custom objects vs. using Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality, Visual Force, Java-Script, Apex controllers, Triggers and Batch Jobs * 1-2 years of demonstrated experience as a strong technical lead * Excellent oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization * Team player with a stakeholder partnership mindset to interact effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues required * Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly present data, context and implications to senior business and IT leaders * Ability to manage lead, manage and coordinate teams responsible for design, development and delivery to deliver the roadmap. This may be through a combination of insourced and outsourced implementation and support. * Contributes to application development project plans; approve scope of work, time and cost estimates, resource allocation, and identification of critical path activities and dependencies. * Identifies and resolves problems which may impact projects by monitoring progress and project status. Ability to recruit high quality, high value talent while maintaining a minimum of employee turnover Ability to work with a global team, experienced in handling team across various cultures and managing a remote team Facilitate the vendor relationships and negotiates agreements as it relates to development and support. In-depth understanding of general business functions, processes, and overall business strategies preferably in the high-tech industry.
