Chief Information Security Officer

Reporting to the CIO, the Chief Information Security Officer will be responsible for determining and implementing information security standards relative to computer systems, networks and telecommunications for the global enterprise. The candidate must be creative and technologically bold. The right candidate will possess a mix of pragmatism, creativity, strong management and communications skills and technical depth.

* Developing and implementing a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and risk management process to ensure the integrity, confidentiality of all PTC information focused on Security Governance, Risk and Controls framework. * Structure the IT Information Security group to ensure functional and efficient segmentation of roles and responsibilities and to manage hiring, training, staff development and performance management. * Establish a security culture through education and awareness programs designed to reduce the risks to the enterprise while also engaging key business leaders to ensure business unit involvement. * Advising on information security issues and articulating high level risks and mitigation plans to a corporate board and executive management * Serve as a liaison for security and operations portions of audit. * Provide technical leadership and guidance across the organization in the area of information security solutions * Work with cross functional team including the Chief Compliance Officer to achieve corporate objective relating to information and data security * Designing and implementing programs for user awareness, compliance monitoring, and security compliance. * Be the single point of contact for all IT activities in support of SOX audits * Providing technical guidance and training to information "owners," within the enterprise. * Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of information security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and services that will help PTC maintain its technical edge. * Architect, prioritize, coordinate and communicate the choice of security technologies necessary to ensure a highly secure yet usable computing environment. * Assists in the evaluation of overall risk for IT systems and the data they contain and process, accounting for the people, processes, and technologies that provide security controls. * Serving as an Information Security expert, contribute to the definition of overall IT architecture

* 15+ years of experience, with broad background information security and systems architecture * Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. * The highest standards of business ethics, honesty, and personal integrity Experience and understanding of Access Control mechanisms and Identity Management * Should have experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation. * Must have strong working knowledge of pertinent Information Security related standards and regulations * Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security. * Experience in implementing and monitoring IT General Controls in support of overall SOX audits * Project management experience, including estimating and forecasting, budget and financial management is preferred * Background in high tech or software industry is preferred. * Analytical problem solving and fact finding skills * Well-developed written and verbal communication skills * Security Certifications preferred **Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree required.
