Summary

This position is responsible for the hiring and onboarding process for of all per diem staff.

Responsibilities
  • Recruiting field staff in specific areas of need in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
  • Verifying licensure, conducting reference checks and ensuring appropriate background checks are completed
  • Creating and maintaining personnel files for field staff
  • Establishing and maintaining an orientation schedule for all field personnel
  • Providing education and support to staff including in-services, CPR classes and newsletters
  • Tracking of dates of renewal for licensure and CPR, as well as inservices attended
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies needed for personnel files
  • Communicating with office staff as to personnel needs and new hires
  • Creating monthly reports to Directors regarding evaluation and skills checks needed
  • Following up with all worker compensation and unemployment claims
  • Maintaining an accurate and up to date list of all active nurses
  • Covering staffing as needed
  • Confirming all schedules weekly and documenting date and time
  • Mailing existing patient schedules to families monthly, to arrive prior to the first of each month
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
  • Ability to file, type, maintain records, and schedule appointments; word processing and spreadsheet skills
Ideal Candidate
  • Two years general office experience
  • Two years human resource experience
  • College degree preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with services offered by the company preferred
