Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer - you will provide services in support of the Prosper’s day-to-day operation and critical projects. You will support a variety of operating systems and maintain infrastructure in Public and Private cloud infrastructure. System Engineers troubleshoot and problem solve across platform and application domains. This position requires the ability to support one or more of the following: Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, Linux, IIS 7.0 or higher, F5 load balancer, VMWare and Open Source Virtualization, AWS, NGINX, Docker/Swarm, JBoss.

* Manage production and pre-production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment * Automate building systems and deploying applications. * Create additional automation by scripting repetitive tasks * Manage and support Active Directory (Directory Services, DFS, DNS, GPO) * Monitor productions systems, respond to and troubleshoot incidents * Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation

* 4+ years relevant experience * Strong proficiency in Windows Server (2012 R2 and 2008 R2) * Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy creation and management * Proficient in Linux systems administration * Strong proficiency in managing DNS, KMS, DFS, SMTP, clustering * Experience scripting in Powershell, Python, Perl or other languages * Strong proficiency in VMware VSphere and cloud management technologies * Well-rounded knowledge of networking (LAN, WAN, VMPLS, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls, etc.) * Well-rounded knowledge of storage solutions (NetApp, Nimble, Panzura) * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, flexibility in concepts and action, able to handle aggressive mission critical deadlines * Looks for any areas of improvement and suggests changes, rather than waiting for direction * Excellent team player - proven ability to resolve problems professionally and systematically
