Prosper allows people to invest in each other in a way that is financially and socially rewarding. On Prosper, borrowers list loan requests between $2,000 and $35,000 and individual lenders invest as little as $25 in each loan listing they select. Prosper handles the servicing of the loan on behalf of the matched borrowers and investors.

We are seeking an innovative, battle tested, top-tier web architect who thrives in hyper-growth environments and has the ability to solve complex business problems by bending technology in ways other people dream of. In this role, you’ll be joining a new team of top notch architects who will own the entire tech-stack aligned with their specific product vertical. You’ll work in lock-step with engineering teams, techops counterparts, product masterminds, and follow architects. You’ll help define the future of our tech-stack, mentor ambitious & talented engineers, and serve as the technical SME within your product vertical.

**Year One:** * Re-architect the system from ground up. We have zero technical debit, oldest code is 6 months old and 98% of the code still needs to be written. * Work with huge amounts of structured mission critical data * Build new data models for new systems. This includes developing a new code base, platforms, and language selection. * Be part of a small team of accomplished senior engineers & architects tasked with solving a board class of problems which touches all aspects of our technology stack. * Build a foolproof, bug free system which handles billions of dollars of transactions, in a zero failure environment. **Year Two:** * Incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence into our product environment. * Evangelize new technologies leveraged as a competitive advantages and ensure we attract and retain some of the best engineers in the bay area. * Tackle the most challenging business problems with the technology of your choice. * You tell us, we don’t hire smart people to tell them what to do!
