Someone that can define a future vision that aligns with Propel’s overall business goals and prepares Propel to quickly address market competitiveness. You will Define the IT conceptual architecture that achieves the vision.
Responsibilities
* Lead innovation: ensuring our innovations and technology roadmaps are aligned to support business objectives. Engaging and developing strong connections to cross-functional teams. * Develop and lead implementation of highly effective IT strategy in support of Company’s mission and strategic goals. * Develop relationships across Company to gain insight on the necessary direction of information technology services * Lead, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all computer operations in the IT Department and throughout the company. * Ensure proper IT processes and governance. * Designs, develops and implements comprehensive, systems to ensure companys needs are exceeded. * Provide direction of IT staff to ensure procurement, installation and maintainanence of all computer hardware and software and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems performing. * Compile and review records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually monitor andimprove results. * Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware and incorporates new developments in future strategy discussions * Maintain security of all data proprietary to Propel and provide for the complete backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster. * Prepares and maintains technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure. Responsible for company's disaster recovery plan. * Manages budget and controls expenses effectively. Act as liaison between hardware and software suppliers and Propel management for informational updates and problem resolution. * Recruit, retain, and hire talented technology staff
Ideal Candidate
* Strategic Thinker * Really Smart * Deep technical capability - Ability to build strong technology competencies and translate technical information at various levels from Executives to IT staff * Has lead initiatives to deliver internal data to commercial agency partners * Has lead technical and data architecture of high volume, scalable Cloud solutions * Designed, built, implemented and automated cloud based technologies * Prior experience as an executive team member, contributed in identifying and building forward thinking solutions for customers * Designed and built distributed, multi-component frameworks, API management ecosystem with well-specified protocols * Supervisory Responsibility - This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership, performance management and hiring of the employees within its department. * Lead and influenced complex technical discussions among disparate stakeholders and drive to solutions that balance strategic foresight and business imperative * BS/BA in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience (Advanced Degree preferred ) * 10+ years’ experience in enterprise software development with at least 5 years in a team lead or management role * Financial services product, business, and competitive landscape experience is preferred * Proven record of leadership and driving change with the ability to promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and entrepreneurship that delivers * Experience mentoring employees in an IT or data processing environment
