Part Time Communications Specialist

Prologis is seeking a Part Time Communications Specialist in our Denver, Colorado office. This role provides day-to-day content development and execution of a variety of communications vehicles including press releases, public speaking engagements, brochures, newsletters, websites and other publications. It also serves a critical role in ensuring that the Americas division adheres to the public disclosure requirements of being a publicly-traded REIT

• Localize the global corporate communications strategy and implement at regional level in Canada, US, Mexico and Brazil
• Assess and understand the regional communications needs and propose appropriate solutions to relevant leaders
• Support general communications efforts including being a resource of information for field offices and escalating issues when necessary
• Research, select and manage vendors or other resources in support of regional communications goals and objectives
• Develop and maintain close relationships with local market teams
• Utilize company editorial guide to write, edit and approve written communications for the division including media alerts, public presentations and digital and print content
• Identify, pitch and secure media placement and public speaking opportunities for regional experts.
• Support company representatives with preparation and messaging for speaking engagements
• Receive and respond to media and public speaking inquiries including evaluation of interview opportunities and preparation of Prologis employees for speaking with the media
• Maintain and communicate an accurate calendar of public speaking appearances
• Actively study our business and convert that learning into relevant and meaningful content.
• Review various web and social media platforms to identify areas of opportunity and provide divisional input to corporate communications in support of the corporate strategy
• Facilitation of corporate communications policies and procedures within division
• Work with head of department to execute special projects
• Work with corporate communications to execute special projects

5 years experience with:

• B2B communications department within a multinational, publicly-traded company
• Writing for both internal and external audiences
• Writing for a variety of marketing and communications channels
• Working with business associates across a variety of positions and specialties
• Experience working with Latin America colleagues and vendors a plus

Essential Skills:

• BA in Journalism or similar
• Business Writing and communication in English
• Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint PC
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional for PC
• Ability to problem-solve and negotiate solutions with those in senior positions
• Ability and willingness to learn about the basic day-to-day operations of the company
• Comfortable with occasional travel
• Ability to stay motivated and perform without personal day-to-day contact from supervisor or team members
• Utilize all forms of communication to stay in touch with team and aligned with departmental goals
