The Claims Control Casualty Process Team is looking for an exceptional analyst to help lead the future of Casualty analysis and drive our Casualty process agenda forward. This position provides an opportunity to work with high-level senior leadership within Claims (both Corporate and Field) as well as other key leaders throughout the remainder of the company (Reserving, Pricing, Product, Commercial Lines, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Support Injury (BI, UBI, URBI) and Medical (PIP, Medpay) Process leaders in their continued efforts to improve our business process to optimize accuracy, efficiency, customer service, and work environment. - Directly manage ongoing governance approved projects; responsible for delivering business requirements, analysis, and communication to all major stakeholders. - Utilize a highly-skilled team of analysts to help deliver key analyses. Ensure timeliness and quality of analysis and focus on a drive towards results and action. - Capable and comfortable presenting advanced analysis (concepts and results) to less-technical audiences. - Independent and capable of working autonomously; self-motivated individual who possesses a natural curiosity and tendency to "dig into" data and processes. - Builds strong work-relationships and works hard to maintain a high-quality "Analyst Brand." Inspires confidence in customers with the veracity and impact of their analysis.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (e.g., Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or Statistics) and a minimum of 6 years analytical work experience in a professional setting.. - Thorough understanding of business processes and systems knowledge. - Proven ability to develop predictive data models using statistical and mathematical methods. - Proven aptitude for learning and high proficiency in using data analysis reporting tools. - Expert programming skills (i.e., SAS, R and SQL). - Advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including v-look-up, pivot tables, charts, graphing and macros. - Intermediate computer skills including MS Word PowerPoint and database experience including the ability to create PowerPoint graphs, tables and information reports in slide format. - Solid communication skills, both verbal and written. - Negotiation skills and ability to influence others by educating and sharing information. - Presentation skills and ability to present information in various ways to meet audience needs. - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. - Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly. - Ability to coach and help others learn knowledge or skills in a specific area - Strong project management skills
