Accountant

* As an Accountant, you'll be part of a team with a goal of keeping Progressive finances healthy so we stay a strong company. * Working closely within the Cash Management team, you'll handle monthly close analysis and financial reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual). * Duties may include daily balancing and monthly close responsibilities, such as account reconciliations and journal entries. * Additionally, the position will also focus on process improvement, documentation, and other projects as assigned. * Attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills are important qualifications.

* Associate's degree in Accounting - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred * Basic verbal and written communications skills plus good listening skills * Accuracy and attention to detail; able to timely meet deadlines * Basic organizational skills (planning, time management and priority management) * Basic documentation skills * Beginning to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access) * Interest and aptitude toward learning query languages (e.g. SAS, MBI, People Soft general ledger queries) * Ability to work with and understanding IT systems is highly desirable * Able to work in a team environment
