Summary
Electrical Engineers at Procter and Gamble develop innovative solutions for power and controls platforms, information networks, electrical safety, cyber security protocols, vision systems, automation, and robotic systems which deliver superior and highly efficient production systems for Process, Packaging, and Utilities systems at manufacturing sites. Engineers in this field leverage electrical, controls and computer systems background; and also create industrial software solutions to digitize manufacturing and enable efficient production. Initial work will be in Cincinnati, OH with a relocation to West Virginia within 12 months Procter & Gamble generally seeks to hire individuals that are in good standing at their university and/or field of study, this typically means people with an overall G.P.A. of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale
Responsibilities
* Be the Lead Utilities Power and Controls Engineer for a capital project at a manufacturing site. * Responsible for power and controls definition, design, installation, and start-up of all Utilities (including chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, boilers, purified water generation and distribution systems, wastewater treatment, HVAC, etc.) * Define and implement the Master Utilities Control System strategy that will network the Utilities systems together in order to display key metrics to Operators for running and troubleshooting equipment. * Create and lead implementation of power and controls User Requirements Documents, Design Bases and Specifications to Utilities system providers (including power, controls, and instrumentation definition). * Lead PLC / HMI programming definition, testing, and execution for purified water storage and distribution; develop and execute validation documentation for purified water control systems. * Define and implement a Building Management System that includes central HVAC monitoring and control, key utility metering and monitoring, etc. * Define and implement an Environmental Management System that includes temperature monitoring, supply fan flow rates, and alarms in a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant solution * Lead electrical VATs (vendor acceptance tests) on Utilities provided equipment. * Provide technical direction to vendors and engineering firms throughout all phases of the project (design through construction and startup). * Provide technical coaching and support to the Utilities manufacturing organization.
Ideal Candidate
* BS/MS Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering degrees are preferred. Other BS/MS Aeronautical, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering degrees may be considered with relevant practical experience in the electrical control/automation area. * 3-5 years of electrical engineering work experience. * Hands-on experience in industrial power and control roles * Allen Bradley ControLogix / PowerFlex / FTView experience is preferred * Previous experience in Utilities systems (similar to those above) is strongly preferred * Familiarity with Controls IT networking (i.e. Ethernet IP, virtual machines, etc.) is preferred * Travel may be required for this position.
