Summary
Princeton Information is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. Client is looking for an individual to enhance the Investments Environments team. As a member of the Environments team they will provide technical support to the Linux and Microsoft Platforms and their integration with other enterprise systems and applications. In this role the candidate will partner with other Investments groups, Engineering, HPO, PMG, AD and business, Client EI&A, our Cloud provider and various vendors to ensure business and customer expectations are maintained and exceeded.
Responsibilities
* Responsibilities to include providing technical expertise and to utilize trouble-shooting tools and techniques in the identification and resolution of complex issues across the application environments. * The candidate may be tasked to evaluate new products and technologies and is expected to maintain knowledge of emerging technologies. * Other responsibilities include the support of Disaster Recovery implementation and testing as required as well as supporting change management, release management and Audit/compliance/ regulatory activities.
Ideal Candidate
* Strong effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for success in this role as the candidate can find themselves leading meetings with both onshore and offshore vendors and\or associates to resolve issues. * Assists in the communication of incidents and problems to internal and external partners either through timely updates in the Remedy or System Center ticketing systems, email or during our daily status call or weekly team meeting. * Other skills critical to overall job success are being a self-starter, consistently seeking out continual service improvements and their implementation, able to accurately follow documented procedures and meet ever changing deadlines and priorities. * 5+ years solid understanding of Client based server technologies * 5+ years solid understanding of Red Hat Linux * 3+ years of solid understanding of Networking concepts (TCPIP, VIP s, VLAN s, Firewalls) * 3+ years familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and Oracle * 2+ years of Technical Program / Project Management experience * Understanding of VMWare / Virtualization (VMware ESX/ESXi V4 and V5, VMware SRM)
