Summary
The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Director, Talent Acquisition who will be responsible for the strategic direction, planning and management of our Shoreside and Shipboard recruiting activities. The position will ensure the sourcing of a best-in-class talent pipeline to support the growth and sustained performance of the business. The Holland America Group includes Holland America Line and Seabourn (both headquartered in Seattle, Washington), Princess Cruise Lines (headquartered in Santa Clarita, California) , and P&O Australia (headquartered in Sydney). The Holland America Group operates a combined total of 41 cruise ships with 50,000 employees worldwide. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Human Resources and will be located in our Santa Clarita office.
Responsibilities
* Leads the strategic planning process for Shoreside and Shipboard Talent Acquisition for our Santa Clarita and Seattle offices. * Develops and oversees the implementation of recruiting best practices, and enhances the company’s ability to attract and select top talent. * Continually evaluates opportunities for process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and effectiveness for hiring managers and candidates. * Ensures the effective use of social media as a part of our recruitment strategy. * Develops recruitment and rotation plans, strategies and metrics in cooperation with operational departments. * Provides consultative service and ongoing analysis to senior leadership of existing geographic recruitment regions and whenever required, investigates new regions. * Oversees long term Fleet Planning through proper planning and collaboration with Operational departments on required complement and establishment levels. * Consistently communicates and monitors recruitment targets to all recruitment offices and maintains contractual service agreements. * Coaches, develops and manages the performance of all direct reports. Establishes and enables an engaged, high-performing team. * Agrees on annual budget for all recruitment offices and monitors actual spend against budget and forecast; Continually monitors costs incurred by recruitment activities with substantial impact to budget at adjusts forecast as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. * Ten or more years of experience directing an international talent acquisition function. * Deep familiarity with recruiting best practices, systems, programs, tools assessments, and metrics. * Ability to develop innovative, long-term talent acquisition strategies aligned to the business strategy. * Excellent consultative skills and the ability to build strong relationships and establish credibility across all levels of the organization. * Well-developed planning, organizational, communication, and project management skills. * Strong leadership and staff development skills. * Must be able to travel internationally approximately 20%. **Preferences** * Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
