The Presidio Trust is an innovative federal agency created to save the Presidio and transform it into a new kind of national park. Responsibilities
- Prepare content for diverse audiences, bringing the Presidio/Presidio Trust story to life; channels include print, online, , intranet, email, and paid advertising among others. Deliverables may include, annual reports, fact sheets, newsletter articles, web/blog features and stories, internal communications, , case studies, infographics, and video. - Ensure content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone and is appropriate for and compelling to identified audiences. - Employ storytelling techniques that use words, images, video, and audio to inspire identified audiences. - Work across the entire content creation and dissemination process, including researching, writing, fact-checking, editing, proofing, and obtaining required approvals. - Work with subject matter experts throughout the organization to prepare assigned content. - Craft content appropriate for destination marketing and for corporate communications. - Working off the annual editorial calendar, support development and implementation of the content marketing plan, including maintaining, tracking, and reporting on the monthly/weekly/daily editorial calendars, working in close collaboration with the Associate Director for Communications and marketing and other members of the Strategy and Communications team. - Gather and employ photo and other digital content assets from content-generators throughout the Trust.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, public relations, journalism, English, publishing, or related field. - Minimum three years’ experience in closely related position. - Outstanding writing and editorial skills. - Working knowledge of industry standard style guides. - Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe Suites. - Candidates will be required to submit writing samples. Desired - Passion for parks; strong desire to work for the Presidio. - Experience with content management systems a plus.
