Summary
We are looking to hire an organized, motivated and highly detail-oriented individual to be part of our Finance team in the position of Staff Accountant. The AR Specialist will perform a key role in leading the billing, collections and accounts receivable processes of the Finance department. This role is ideal for an independent and strong self-starter who thrives in a rapidly growing environment. Ideally you should be someone who is specific about the details, but also has a global view of the business.
Responsibilities
* Make daily collection calls * Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues * Conduct account research and analysis on errors * Resolve outstanding payment issues * Invoicing of customers in our GL system * Some monthly close responsibilities for invoicing and accounts receivable, including monthly reconciliations * Analysis of customer accounts for collectability issues and bad debts provision * Prepare and maintain various reports related to invoicing and AR * Maintaining an accurate AR aging report * Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments * Preparing and distributing monthly statements to customers * Interact with customers, sales and other departments to resolve outstanding issues * Working closely with other departments to ensure that AR and invoicing processes are updated for new company initiatives
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field * 1-2 years of AR/Collections experience in a similar high-growth environment * Intacct GL Accounting system experience (or similar ERP) * Salesforce experience * Experience managing high volumes of multiple billing types including usage-based and revenue deferrals * Very Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Lookup functions, pivot tables etc.) and experience working with large amounts of data * Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a must * Must be a self-starter and team player whom is excited to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment * Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently * Demonstrated ability of time management with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
