Summary
Responsible for plant processing and engineering activities in the Zeolyst plant.
Responsibilities
- Technical problem-solving skills in a processing plant environment and of chemical processing equipment. - Project initiation, development, design engineering, project management, end project start-up for plant maintenance capital projects in the $10-260 million range. - Development, design and implementation of process improvement ideas drawing from operations, maintenance, R&D and engineering personnel. - Assist Program Manager with large strategic capital projects in the amount of $5-$50 million. This includes process design, equipment specifications, P&ID development, process controls and control strategies, project field engineering during construction, PSSRs of itemized systems and start-up assistance. - Process engineering work including optimizations, new and modified product trial runs, operating procedures, MOC and PSM program improvements, PHAs and other health, safety and environmental functions. - Temporary assignments to cover Operations Unit Manager functions and special assignments that could include Operator training and quality control troubleshooting and analysis.
Ideal Candidate
* B.S. in Chemical Engineering. * Minimum of 5 years plant processing and project experience. * A self-starter. Able to work unsupervised to accomplish stated goals. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Able to multi-task. * Good organizational skills. * Willingness to learn and apply new ideas. * Experience with quality management systems, i.e. ISO 9000, MOC systems, OSHA PSM. * Understand computerized maintenance systems and statistical process control. * Familiarity with process controls schemes and systems. * Familiarity with process industry mechanical equipment and typical maintenance needs.
