Summary
Polaris is seeking a Global Regulatory Research Analyst whose focus will be to maintain up-to-date management consulting and software solutions by researching and monitoring global legal and regulatory requirements governing life sciences companies.The analyst will work directly with Polaris’ Legal Team and Technology Solutions Teams to identify, collect, and incorporate legal and regulatory requirements into our offerings. The Analyst will also be responsible for helping to answer any external or internal questions related to areas of his or her regulatory research.This position requires experience conducting regulatory and/or policy research and analysis and an ability to track and maintain global regulatory databases to ensure all regulatory requirements are up-to-date and accurate.
Responsibilities
**General Responsibilities Include:** * Conduct regulatory research and analysis * Conduct regulatory database maintenance and development * Analyze and collect data, present and defend findings * Develop, articulate and present ideas and opinions * Manage and take accountability of discrete regulatory research projects * Create project deliverables with some oversight by senior staff * Support in growing the organization * Participate in conferences and industry groups * Other research, in Finance and HR will be requested from time to time **Specific Tasks:** * Stay up to date on the international news and regulatory environment related to the industry * Complete assignments on scope, on budget and on time, according to project plans * Take direction and feedback from project managers and senior staff * Conduct detailed analysis and explain findings, with minimal guidance * Look for and suggest training/development opportunities for self and others * Manage own deliverables and client deliverables as assigned by project manager and senior staff * Actively look for ways to improve service offerings and develop new offerings
Ideal Candidate
**General Requirements:** * Minimum 1-2 years of work experience conducting regulatory and policy research preferred * Undergraduate degree required; MA, JD or experience in regulatory and policy research strongly preferred * Speaks foreign language, and has traveled or lived overseas – preferred but not required * Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment and with a global team * Entrepreneurial, well organized, self-motivated, self-starter, team player * Analytical, and strong attention to detail * Willingness to have a different opinion, ability to articulate thoughts and concepts well * Poised and self-confident: ability to deliver effective oral and verbal communication, comfortable with public speaking * Strong interest in Pharmaceutical industry and consulting **Physical and Location Requirements:** * Ability to work in the office on a regular basis
