General Manager for Project Liberty

All while pumping billions of dollars back into the American economy.

The General Manager will have responsibility for accomplishing the company’s cellulosic production goals in Project LIBERTY (PL), POET’s revolutionary second generation advanced biofuels production site.

This position will ensure the plant operates in a safe, efficient and profitable manner and for maintaining all business operations of the biorefinery. As a leader at the biorefinery location, this team member should have a strong understanding of how the production process works and be ready to implement changes as needed. The General Manager must be able to work as a team with staff at the Plant, POET corporate office and investors. This opportunity has growth potential and offers mobility within POET. The General Manager will report directly to a Regional Vice President and have a reporting relationship to a Board of Directors.

• Bachelor’s degree or greater required; Business or Engineering degree preferred.
• 8 or more years of experience in industrial and/or manufacturing plant operations and team member relations required.
• Experience with managing business finances required.
• Process automation experience in grain, food, and/or chemical industries preferred.
• Previous public, community and/or Board relations experience preferred.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
