Environmental Engineer

The Environmental Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing programs that help ensure regulatory compliance for all POET Biorefineries.

Additionally, the Environmental Engineer works under the guidance of Senior Engineers to assist POET Biorefineries with analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving potential problems with plant operations relating to environmental compliance. The Environmental Engineer must be able to effectively work in a team environment both on site with the operations group as well as with contacts at the

• BS or BA or greater in Environmental Science, Engineering or Science is required.
• Up to five (5) years’ experience in environmental permitting and/or compliance.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering examination preferred.
• Familiar or experienced with Microsoft applications, DCS control and DCS historian systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
• Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
