Summary
As a Pocket Gems’ Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for addressing the IT needs of Pocket Gemmers individually and collectively to help this team collaborate, innovate and dominate the mobile gaming industry. As the third person on the team, you'll have a huge impact on the growth and direction of the team while gaining experience in everything IT related. We have been building out our network and Mac infrastructure, which you will help support. We need someone to help build out support and management infrastructure for our growing Windows environment. This role will also share the daily helpdesk duties. Given the nature of the company, you should be extremely flexible, eager to tackle new challenges and comfortable working in a casual office environment.
Responsibilities
* Research and implement centralized management systems for our Windows environment. * Assist in maintenance and operation of our network and Mac management infrastructure. * Provide world class internal support on laptops, peripherals, and accounts. This includes setting up, configuring, and tracking machines. * First level support of computer problems and setting RMA requests as needed. * Reach out to vendors to address issues (or just tell them “good job”). * Work within and improve upon our ticketing system. * Follow and maintain documentation with an eye to improving processes. * Develop and implement new processes and infrastructure for the company. * Identify and explore new technologies which will help enhance the overall IT function.
Ideal Candidate
* 4-8 years experience in an IT support role with a strong customer service orientation * Self-motivated and able to grow into additional responsibilities with greater complexity * Experience maintaining, upgrading, and migrating Windows and Mac computers * Capable of troubleshooting Windows issues down to the registry and networking level * Understanding of OSI model and layers * Comfortable with cloud-based SAAS environments and Google products * Strong work ethic, with ability to manage multiple loosely-defined projects simultaneously * Focus on problem solving, organization and prioritization * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
