Senior UI/UX Designer

Pocket Gems develops free-to-play mobile games that are ridiculously fun. Pocket Gems was founded in 2009 by Daniel Terry and Harlan Crystal. Their first products pioneered the free to play mobile games industry and have delighted and entertained millions of players.

This person will join one of our new teams working on "core" games in the sci-fi or fantasy genres. We are looking for artists excited to bring AAA quality work and establish Pocket Gems as a leader in 3D art for mobile, creating games that appeal to a wide audience of players. We are excited to be shaping and defining games as we know it on mobile. Currently, we're looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team of artists, engineers, and product managers to build intuitive and cohesive experiences in our next line of hit games.

* Develop original UI/UX by working with the project leads * Provide excellent communication that allows you to set flexible design guidelines that all Pocket Gems teams can support and extend throughout the company * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create fresh, logical, readable, and seamless UX solutions * Assist client engineers with front-end and UI implementation to ensure final product reflects design vision

**Requirements:** * A great portfolio of work (see submission requirements below) * Shipped at least 1 game as a key contributor in UI/UX * Proven ability to develop and present UI/UX ideas for various games * Expert-level experience using various prototyping and design software * Degree in HCI, Design, or equivalent experience as a UX/Interaction Designer * Previous work experience designing flows on at least 1 published game * Minimum 3 years of UI/UX production experience required * An appreciation for the iterative nature of the design process * Able to quickly come up with new visual treatments as well as adapting to established styles * Up to date on latest design trends and styles * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency **Pluses:** * Experience working with mobile applications * BA/BS in interactive design, graphic arts, human factors, computer science or related field with equivalent experience * 3D experience/capabilities
