Responsibilities
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager that speaks fluent Spanish and loves international travel to oversee the development of digital experiences for Global Mobile, beginning with the rollout of these pilots. The Product Manager will join Planned Parenthood’s new Digital Product Lab, a small team focused on using human-centered design and lean start-up methodologies to launch great products quickly. Global Mobile is a project jointly owned by PPFA’s Information Services and Planned Parenthood Global Divisions. Reporting to the Director of Consumer Facing Digital Products, you will work synchronously with Planned Parenthood Global, as well as developers, designers, and in-country partners to build exceptional user experiences and measure their success. The ideal candidate will be an unflappable self-starter who couples a strategic, big-picture perspective with the motivation and experience to make ambitious ideas into reality. - Manage the final stages of development and launch for mobile site in Ecuador and Nigeria, including CMS integration, soft launch, and further iterations based on user feedback. - Lead development of potential SMS component to reach teens in one or both pilot countries. - Explore additional technology platforms and partners for broader rollout. - Work with UX team to design and execute user testing plans remotely and in-country. - Work with visual designers, UX team, and developers in the US, Nigeria and Ecuador to execute a compelling product vision that reflects and evolves with user feedback. - Establish and monitor KPIs for products and oversee regular and ongoing data analysis to inform product evolution. - Communicate product vision and ongoing progress to stakeholders and international colleagues, and document methodology to support future scaling of Global Mobile. - Writing functional specifications for development (previous experience a plus, but not a must-have). - 20% international travel.
Ideal Candidate
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years experience developing digital products, with a focus on mobile. - Professional fluency in Spanish required. - Demonstrable achievements in defining and bringing to market top-notch digital products. - An understanding of the product lifecycle and lean / agile development methodology, as well as mobile user experience standards and best practices. - Comfort with managing a variety of relationships, including vendors, internal teams, developers, designers, and international partners. - Excellent people and communication skills, especially when it comes to building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and bridging cultural and linguistic differences - Expertise in Google Analytics, with experience and knowledge of dashboards, Google Tag Manager and event tracking a big plus. - Experience with user research, usability testing, and human-centered design a plus.
